This is to inform all the candidates that participated in the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) Post UTME screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session that the admission list has been released.

Admission lists are usually released by institutions after the conduct of the admission screening exercise. It comes in different batches; 1st batch (Merit List), followed by 2nd, 3rd and other Batches.

AAUA admission list contains the names of candidates offered provisional admission into the various degree programmes of the university.

About Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko

Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA) is a state government-owned and operated Nigerian university. The university is located at Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria.

The university’s vision is to be a foremost institution that moves manpower development in the direction of self-reliance, apprenticeship, a first-class university in research, knowledge, character and service to humanity.

Its mission is to provide knowledge and skills for self-reliance in a conducive environment where teaching and research can take place.

History

Adekunle Ajasin University was first established as Obafemi Awolowo University in March 1982 by the government of the old Ondo State, headed by the late Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin.

The immediately succeeding military government of Navy Commodore Michael Bamidele Otiko changed its name to Ondo State University in 1985.

Its relocation to Akungba Akoko in the new Ondo State became imperative in 1999, following the creation of a new state out of the old Ondo three years earlier in October 1996.

The bill for yet another name change, this time to Adekunle Ajasin University, in order to immortalise the late Governor Ajasin, was signed into law by Governor Adefarati in 2004 following the demise of the former. READ MORE

Procedure to Check AAUA Admission List

Currently, candidates can only access their AAUA admission status on the JAMB admission status checking portal by following the procedure outlined below:

1. Go to the JAMB admission portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility_/.

2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.

3. Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.

4. Select your Exam year and enter your registration number in the required column.

5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your AAUA admission status.

The candidates admitted into the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) degree programmes are advised to:

➛ Login to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT their admission.

➛ Print their JAMB admission letter after accepting the admission.

➛ Print their original JAMB result slip (this comes with passport photography affixed to it).

➛ Apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal in case they are offered courses different from the ones they initially applied for.

Candidates not yet admitted should note that admission is in progress, and regularly check the JAMB site and the University website for their admission status.

1. Go to the AAUA admission status checking portal at https://eportal.aaua.edu.ng/frontend/welcome/ugadmissions.

2. Enter your JAMB registration number in the required columns.

3. Finally, click on the Login button to access your AAUA admission status.
