NDA Exam Centres Selection is a crucial process for candidates seeking admission into the academy. This involves choosing suitable test locations for the entrance examination.

The portal for selecting screening centers and printing examination admission cards and other necessary documents for the 75th regular combatant course for the 2025/2026 academic session at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has been opened.

This is for all candidates who have been successfully shortlisted for the screening test.

Those who applied for admission into the program are required to log on to the portal and complete these tasks before the screening test date.

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA)

All candidates successfully shortlisted for the 75th regular combatant course screening test at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) for the 2025/2026 academic session can now access the portal to select their screening centers and print out their examination admission cards and other necessary documents.

It is mandatory for those who applied for admission to complete these tasks before the screening test date.

NDA Objectives

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) aims to equip officer cadets with the essential military, academic, and character development required to fulfill their duties as military officers.

The institution serves as a platform where carefully chosen young men and women are trained to become knowledgeable, courageous, strong, and learned subordinates.

Additionally, the selection of NDA exam centers is crucial for candidates.

Administration Pattern

The officer corps of the Nigerian Army, Navy, and Air Force are trained by the military institution. Initially, the first class consisted of only 62 cadets, and the majority of the trainers were officers from the Indian Army.

The Nigerian National Defence Academy (NDA) is modeled after the NDA located in Khadakwasla, Pune, India.

First Commandant

Indian Army Brigadier M.R Verma served as the inaugural commandant of NDA. It was not until 1978 that the training staff at NDA was entirely composed of Nigerians.

Bilateral Training

The NDA began providing bilateral training to foreign militaries in 1981. By 1985, the institution had expanded its educational offerings to include undergraduate programs for military officers in training.

Presently, the academy provides post-graduate studies for both military and civilian students, including MSc and PhD programs.

NDA Mission Statement

The primary objective of the academy is to provide military, academic, and character development training to young officer cadets through a five-year “Regular Combatant Course.”

The primary objective of this extensive training is to imbue cadets with leadership skills and discipline, ultimately leading to the conferment of a bachelor’s degree and a presidential commission as a second lieutenant in the Army, or its equivalent in the Navy and Air Force.

Prior to 2011, the course was exclusively for male cadets. However, in September 2011, the academy commenced the training of its first set of female cadets, in accordance with global best practices.

NDA Cut-Off Mark

As per the academy’s management, only candidates who achieve a minimum score of 180 (for the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Science, and Military Science & Interdisciplinary Studies);

And 210 (for the Faculty of Engineering) in the JAMB 2025/2026 examination will be eligible for admission into NDA by the AFSB.

From 8:00 AM on March 22, 2025, the selection of NDA Screening Test/Exam Centres will begin and continue until March 29, 2025.

Prior to this deadline, applicants are required to choose their preferred centres and print out all relevant forms.
